Local tour operator is in need of an Administrative Assistant to ensure smooth and efficient operations for their Honolulu office. As the Admin Assistant, you will find yourself handling various responsibilities from researching to providing customer service.

Pay: $16.00 Hourly + medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending plan, paid holidays, sick days, and vacation, opportunities for bonuses, profit-sharing plan, and more!

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide exceptional customer service through answering telephones, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and handling the company email account
  • Monitor supplies, inventory, and equipment to ensure proper levels
  • Assist with file system design and management
  • Perform record keeping duties
  • Assist department with preparations for programs and leader briefings
  • Draft correspondence
  • Research potential resources and files
  • Request proposals and rates from vendors
  • Assist the sales and marketing department as needed
  • Assist the General Manager and President as needed
  • Other tasks as required

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Previous administrative or related work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Strong understanding or knowledge of Hawaiʻi or the Pacific Islands
  • Knowledge of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and/or Hawaiian culture
  • College degree
