Adult Mental Health Division Consumer Advisor

$3,411 - $3,691 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

 

Exempt Non-Civil Service Appointment.  The primary purpose of the position is to respond to consumers’ concerns, complaints and issues by providing information on consumer rights and Division services, assisting in mediating disputes between the consumer and a program or service, assisting consumers through the complaints and appeals process, conducting investigations of complaints, collecting, compiling and analyzing information gathered, recommending to the Division Chief on consumer matters, and suggesting ways to improve services to consumers.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:  Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or Graduation from high school and excess experience of the types listed below may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Five (5) years of progressively responsible mental health work experience.  Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for the position.  The applicant’s overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which he/she is being considered.

 

LICENSE:  A Valid Type 3 Driver’s License.
