Job Description

Busy local health care company is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide assistance to their customer service Department. For this position, you will be tasked with answering inquiries from customers, researching issues, and resolving complaints. That means you should be a great communicator and problem solver who works well in a fast-paced environment.


Addit​ional Responsibilities:


  • Answer telephone calls and respond to incoming inquiries
  • Learn plans, benefits, eligibility claims, payments, and other information
  • Remain up to date on customer service policies and procedures
  • Respond to and follow up on inquiries
  • Log and track inquiries in the company database
  • Investigate problems and complaints; determine appropriate course of action
  • Notify management of issues and trends
  • Inform departments of errors including claims, requests, and corrections
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Customer service oriented
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including procedure manuals

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Minimum three years of experience in customer service
  • College degree
  • Health care industry or related experience
