Director of Children’s Ministries
Central Union Church
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

The Central Union Church is seeking a Director of Children’s Ministries to join our team.  The position is Part Time (20-35 hours per week) working as scheduled Sunday through Thursday:

·         Sunday 7:30am-12:30pm

·         Monday 9:00am-3:00pm

·         Tuesday 8:30am-2:30pm

·         Wednesday 9:00am-3:00pm

·         Thursday 8:30am-2:30pm


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Articulates a consistent vision for the Children’s Ministry program rooted in the CUC mission and focused on inspiring and equipping families for continual faith formation.

·         Conveys competence, confidence, joy, and humility to families, volunteers, and staff through consistent communication.

·         Orchestrates volunteers with guidance, support and management

·         Assists with planning curriculum as well as individual and group activities that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth.

·         Maintains accurate and comprehensive records of events, registrations, rosters and budgets.

·         Supervises and trains both paid nursery staff and volunteers

 

The Successful Applicant must have:

·         First Aid/CPR Certification

·         Successful pass on required background check

·         Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University; or three to ten years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience  in Early Childhood Education, leadership, marketing, and/or theology/Christian education

·         The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·         Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
