Position Overview: 

Dishwashers play a crucial role in ensuring that all restaurant dining ware, kitchen appliances, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to the standards of the restaurant. Dishwashers also work closely with the rest of the BOH team to ensure smooth culinary operations, supporting in other areas as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: 

• Washes, sanitizes and stores all kitchen equipment, dining ware, cookware and other relevant items according to restaurant standards
• Ensures that restaurant cutlery, glassware, and plates are fully cleaned before returning for service
• Maintains and stocks the dishpit as needed; keeps dishpit equipment in working order 
• Assists in upholding health code standards and protocols in the Back of House (BOH)
• Maintains the quality and condition of dishes to the extent possible
• Assists in cleaning down all BOH working areas
• Assists with opening and closing procedures as needed
• Assists with restocking and inventory as needed 
• Assists with prep duties as needed 
• Other duties as assigned 

Education and Experience:

•  Relevant experience in a restaurant setting preferred but not required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong team player with a commitment to excellence
• Servsafe certification preferred but not required
• TB clearance required to work in the restaurant
