Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Primarily responsible to deliver hot meals to various locations including Lanakila group dining centers, pre-schools, and other meal delivery sites on Oahu. Maintains vehicle and mileage records and program equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Confirm route schedule and delivery times daily.
2. Verify counts, changes, special meals and all other components associated with meal service.
3. Pack meals in transport equipment such as heated caddies, holding caddies, and coolers. Lift and load filled equipment into company vehicle.
4. Deliver meals to assigned routes in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
5. Maintain vehicles including mileage record, fuel, sanitation, general maintenance, and security.
6. Maintain all other program equipment including heated caddies, holding caddies, coolers and cellular telephones.
7. Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations
8. Demonstrate Lanakila Pacific's values of teamwork, excellence, achievement, motivation and Lanakila in all personal interactions with others.

OTHER DUTIES: 
1. Ensure compliance with all safety and food sanitation procedures and practices.
2. Attends staff meetings and training workshops.
3. Performs other related duties as required by the Chef/Trainer, Kitchen Manager, and Food Service Director.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions including cold, heat, rain, and humidity.
2. Some exposure to cold temperatures from walk-in freezers and reefers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

Education/Experien​ce:
1. High School diploma or equivalent desirable.
2. Previous commercial driving experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilit​ies
1. Demonstrate basic knowledge of the geographic areas of Oahu and the ability to map out delivery locations.
2. Demonstrate the ability to observe all Federal, State, City and County driving laws.
3. Demonstrate customer service skills.
4. Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
5. Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of people, as well as the ability to work well in a team setting.
6. Demonstrate the ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds frequently.
7. Must provide a valid driver license and clean driver's abstract.
8. Must provide TB clearance
