Job Description

A local business is looking for a talented Government Contract Specialist to function as the liaison between their business and the government in maintaining, developing, and modifying GSA contracts. The Government Contract Specialist will also be tasked in developing leads and procuring new government contracts. Due to the nature of the position, a minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in the contract furniture industry is preferred. Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Proficiency in Government Furniture contracts
  • Maintain, develop, and modify GSA contracts
  • Develop leads and submit BPA contract opportunities
  • Function as a resource for all localized employees on government and contractual related items; similarly function as a resource for all government clients in guiding and educating with Statements of Work
  • Other Government contract-related duties as may be necessary

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in the contract furniture industry
  • Knowledge of design concepts, HMI products, HM Healthcare systems, as well as other vendors’ products
  • Capable of reading and understanding floor plans including architectural, electrical, and furniture layouts
  • Fantastic customer service and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Strong typing and computer skills
