Roberts Hawaii is looking to hire an HR & DOT Credentialing Specialist!

HR & DOT Credentialing Specialist

Maintains regular cooperation and compliance with all regulatory and membership-based organizations. Creates and carries out various credentialing processes in relation to drivers and others in safety sensitive positions by verifying licensing, training, and certifications of all drivers. The primary goal is to ensure that all established federal and state standards, to include DOT, FMCSA, DOE, FTA, are met. Shall process driver applications and rehire paperwork, conduct driver history, and run criminal background checks for all employees and other forms of background checks where warranted by the position's scope of authority or access. Will constantly track, report, collect and process significant amounts of verification information, and advise managers commensurate with the findings. As such, must constantly maintain and update accurate databases pertinent to training, experience, and licensure content. The Credentialing Specialist prepares records for regular auditing, as well as maintain close communication with all appropriate department / division heads to ensure that records are up-to-date and consistent.

• Advanced PC and organizational skills to include use MS Excel, Outlook & Word
• Articulate and clear instructional writer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit personable, creative, focused, competent, flexible and principled attributes when working with colleagues in divisional offices, statewide; internal and external customers
• Person must exhibit attitudes and abilities consistent with working in a variety of team and/or group settings
• Bachelor's degree in management, human resources, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or related area of study
• Minimum of 2 years relevant/transferable HR experience

• Professional level knowledge of DOT, Coast Guard, and other associated guidelines, regulations, policies, SOPs, etc. governing the Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program
• One or more years of full-time, paraprofessional or professional substance abuse program administrator (SAPA) experience or any other accepted combination of experience and education related to drug and alcohol program administration
