Job Description


The lead position will oversee other staff and trainees in a designated area.  Includes making sure training program is going according to plan, assist with EPE’s & time studies.  Meeting production & delivery deadlines, arranging personnel coverage when needed, making sure designated area has the appropriate raw materials, supplies, etc to accomplish the day’s tasks and prep for the next day, and making operational decisions when the need arises.  Keeping food safety in mind, must monitor temperatures, procedures, portions, and be a champion of sanitation standards.  Working closely with the Food Service Manager, reviews daily challenges and special requirements (ie. Allergies & dietary meals) and follows through till completion.




1.Associate’s degree in Food Service/Restaurant Management or related field is preferred with a minimum of one year of successful work experience in food service/restaurant operations or; 


2.High School diploma or equivalent with three to four years work experience in food service/restaurant operations, vocational training, rehabilitation or related human services may be substituted on a case by case basis for education and experience.


3.Knowledgeable in state and/or federal nutritional guidelines preferred; knowledgeable in healthy or vegetarian diet is a plus. 


4.Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
