Start a career that makes a difference in the community! We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join a well-known non-profit in Honolulu. You will responsible for ensuring the facilities on the property are maintained and kept clean and safe. You can expect to be performing inspections one minute, and meeting with contractors the next. Therefore, the ideal candidate will thrive at handling multiple responsibilities and can work well as part of a team. 

 

Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we want to hear from you! 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Repair and maintain equipment related to electrical, carpentry, and plumbing
  • Develop and oversee maintenance schedule for appliances and systems
  • Maintain grounds by sweeping walkways and parking lot and managing foliage and lighting
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the property
  • Perform scheduled inspections of building and property 
  • Implement and monitor maintenance schedules
  • Organize logistics for significant repairs
  • Assist Operations Manager and facilities committee with special projects as assigned
  • Research, call for quotes, and meet with contractors
  • Perform all aspects of vehicle maintenance including changing oil, annual safety inspection, tire rotation, parts replacement, and repairs
  • Assist with tours, transportation, and coordination of guest events
  • Promote a positive image of the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance or facilities related experience
  • Must have a CPR certification or the ability to obtain one
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Knowledge of general maintenance equipment and systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. 
Preferred Qualificaitons: 
  • Supervisory and clerical experience
