Job Description
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
Lanakila Pacific is a local 501(c)3 non-profit that is a family of programs and services designed to help build independence and an improved quality of life for individuals with cognitive, social, physical, or age related challenges.  Workforce Resources consists of social enterprises that are mission driven business ventures that create quality products or provide outstanding services for customers while building independence for the individuals we serve.
 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Marketing and Community Outreach Manager, develops and implements plans to promote the organization in the areas of marketing, community relations,
special events and fundraising,. Develops communications to raise awareness of programs and services and ensure brand consistency.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Works closely with the Marketing and Community Outreach Manager and team in achieving the goals and objectives of the group.
 
Marketing
  • Coordinates the Community Outreach team to create, develop, and maintain branded Lanakila Pacific collateral including web, social media, and video content and campaigns, collateral material, and PR initiatives that help build awareness of our programs and services to generate sales
  • Tasks include content creation, updating, and maintaining the website, blog, enewsletter, social platforms, printed collateral, and signage
  • Uses judgement to ensure consistency among all marketing collateral and packaging (visual and written)
  • Identifies and develops a team of high-level professional volunteers such as photographers, videographers, graphic designers, social media and public relations consultants to provide guidance and the marketing and communications plan
  • Provides guidance to the marketing staff in the absence of the Marketing Manager
Community Relations
  • Identifies new prospects, and creates and implements a plan to build collaborative partnerships with businesses to build awareness and support of Lanakila Pacific
  • Represents Lanakila Pacific at community meetings, conducts presentations, and tours of Lanakila Pacific’s programs
  • Works closely with the volunteer team in developing volunteer resources
Fundraising and Events
  • Identifies, develops, coordinates, and executes the events Lanakila Pacific’s marketing team participates in
  • Oversees donor tracking of fundraising activities including the Capital Campaign, Annual Giving, and Adopt-a-Senior
  • Participates in fund development planning and implementation including cultivation and stewardship
OTHER DUTIES:
  • Demonstrate the organization’s values of Teamwork, Excellence, Achievement and Motivation in all personal interactions with others.
  • Assists the Marketing and Community Outreach Manager as directed
  • Attends staff meetings, relevant workshops, and trainings.
  • Researches and implements updated methods to promote business, donor, and volunteer engagement.
  • Performs other related duties to achieve company and program goals and objectives.
  • Uses Adobe and Microsoft software to create publications and presentations
  • Perform word processing to produce and update correspondence, meeting minutes, forms, and/or other materials.
  • Follow-up on tasks or assignments in writing, phone calls or in person.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration or related field and 3 years of work experience in community relations or related field or High School diploma with 5 years of work experience in community relations or related field
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to speak effectively in front of large group of people. 
  • Demonstrate print and web graphic design skills.
  • Demonstrate Computer systems proficiency to include Adobe Creative Suite programs; InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and effective utilization of such resources.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Lanakila Pacific’s programs.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle and clean driver’s abstract preferred.
