Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

 

Interprets physician’s orders, performs evaluations and assessments; designs and implements plan of care; maintains treatment and progress records; drafts and/or presents oral or written reports of patient’s status; collaborates with team members toward reaching patient’s goals.  

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Certification/Licensure:

 

 

·         Current State of Hawaii OT licensure.

·         Current NBCOT certification as an OTR.

·         Current healthcare CPR certification within one (1) month from date of hire (Healthcare provider course or equivalent which includes neonatal, child, adult and AED’s) and maintains certification thereafter.

·         Annual completion of CPR and competencies requirements.

 

Education:

·         Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

 

Skills/Experience:

·         Ability to safely and effectively manage patients’ mobility.

·         Ability to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing.

 

 

 

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS USED

 

Computer, computerized and written information, facsimile machine, telephone, photocopier, typewriter and related office equipment.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.

 

May include physical, occupational or speech language pathology devices, such as exercise tables, stationary bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs, practice stairs, mariner’s wheel, parallel bars, pulley and weights, lamps, hydrotherapy tanks, splinting devices, and other equipment and apparatus.
