Location(s): As-Is Store (Kalihi), Beretania, and Mapunapuna 

Job Summary:
Inspects Items for defects and uses assigned standards to determine outcome of item by performing the following duties. Availability to work on weekends is an essential function of this position.

  • Removes item from bins or carts for close inspection to determine if item is saleable.
  • Scans clothing/textile items for defects such as holes, rips,tears, misaligned or missing fasteners or trim, and variations in color of fabric for clothing items.  Examines fabric for holes or stains.  Sorts textiles to determine quality and price or if item goes to As-Is, bale, or dump if appropriate
  • For non-clothing items, scans items for defects such as cracks, rust, broken or missing pieces, stains, and if item is operational. Sort and price item accordingly. Cleans item as needed.
  • Hangs, tags, and prices textile and non-textile items.
  • Works at different work stations as production needs require or stocking as needs arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Individual must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
  • PT, Flexible Work Hours, Weekends and Evening Shifts Available.
  • All applicants must currently reside in the state of Hawaii and be available for an immediate in-person interview.
