Job Description

JOB SUMMARY   

Under general direction, the Recruiter manages the full lifecycle of recruiting while maintaining strong relations with business leaders, hiring managers, human resources (HR) business partners, external contacts, and candidates.  This position executes local and national recruiting plans, leverages traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as develop new, creative, and low-cost recruiting ideas.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Identifies diverse, top level talent through sourcing methods which include direct sourcing, networking, job boards, referrals, on-line resources, and professional associations as well as using a combination of web and print advertisements, employee referrals, job fairs, and  social media.
  • Screens incoming profile assessments, resumes and applications for appropriate job fit, education, skill, and experience levels.
  • Conducts qualifying phone screens with candidates and targeted warm calls with prospects to generate interest in company opportunities.  Makes recommendations regarding next steps with each candidate.
  • Provides regular updates to hiring managers, HR business partners, talent acquisition leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate on pipeline development and progress of candidates.
  • Coordinates with candidates and hiring managers to schedule interviews. This includes coordinating on-site interviews, ensuring the candidates have all the necessary information for the interviews in advance (travel, interview schedule, application, etc.), coach interviewers, and facilitates debrief meeting.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with hiring managers and new hires to assess and improve the recruiting process.
  • Ensures timely updates of all job postings both internally and on external job boards. Pro-actively finds new, cost effective sources for posting jobs.
  • Manages and facilitates on/offsite hiring events (open house, career fairs, interview days, networking events, etc.).
  • Coaches hiring managers on effective interview practices to ensure legal compliance.
  • Promotes employee referral program by engaging with existing employee base and following up on referrals within forty-eight (48) hours.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate information in our recruiting database. Responsible for applicant tracking documentation within the applicant tracking system (ATS), in accordance with all company and legal guidelines.
  • Tracks, records, and reports recruitment performance through set key performance metrics.
  • Consistently meet established performance standards.
  • Completes all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in recruiting, human resources, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the recruiting/talent acquisition field required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position spends the majority of the time (50% or more) achieving organization objectives, often through the coordinate achievements of subordinate staff.  A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks related similar to those performed by direct reports, but primary duties are supervisory or organizational-goal related.  Analyzes and resolves problems, determines work techniques, monitors for regulatory compliance, maintains production, interprets and creates policies, and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. 
 
Establishes departmental goals and objectives, functions with independence, and makes decisions on matters of significant importance.  Manages human, financial, and/or physical resources; proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets.   Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action; develops systems to ensure subordinates adhere to policies and procedures in compliance with organizational goals and objectives. 
 
Specific supervisory duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Establishes objectives and goals for the team; plans, organizes and manages work flow.
  • Investigates and resolves concerns and complaints.
  • Provide assistance and support; maintains a positive and professional working environment.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Driver’s License (non-commercial) – must be state-specific.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and exercise good judgment in working with various levels of associates and management.
  • Proficient in sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Proficient in internet research and social media recruitment skills.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of normal work hours (i.e. weekends/extended hours) based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel to various locations overnight, as required or directed by area talent acquisition leadership.
  • Proficient in candidate data mining.
  • Skilled in the knowledge of enterprise applicant tracking systems.
  • Proficient using automated applicant tracking tools, web-based recruiting resources, and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Understands how to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
  • Ability to interpret and create spreadsheets.
