Job Description


Provides advance clinical support and direction related to assigned specialty program (NEURO) to promote integration of evidenced based research and findings into clinical practice.  The role of the Lead it to support advancement of the clinical practices for this specialty.

Interprets physician's orders, performs evaluations and assessments; designs and implements plan of care; maintains treatment and progress records; drafts and/or presents oral or written reports of patient's status; collaborates with team members toward reaching patient's goals practices utilizing evidence int he literature as the basis for improving practice.



  • Current State of Hawaii Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
  • Current ASHA membership card (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association. 
  • Current healthcare CPR certification within one (1) month from date of hire (Healthcare provider course or equivalent which includes neonatal, child, adult and AED’s) and maintains certification thereafter. 
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification

Education: Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology


  • Two (2) years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting working directly with NEURO patients.
  • Experience in proctoring therapy students on clinical placements.
  • Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
