Job Summary:

 Works with Store Leadership to maintain the overall high-quality condition of the store. This position plays a roll in the responsibility of maintaining the safety for customers and team members by continually monitoring the sales floor for debris and other types of hazards by walking the store hourly to ensure safety compliance.  Help team members with small department tasks. Assist customers with questions and concerns and offer friendly assistance in getting then help.  Abide by the strictest standards of physical safety and sanitation.  


Essential Duties:

  • Follow through on all Team Member questions and requests.
  • Keep department supplies filled and maintained.
  • Keep all supply shelves clean and stocked.
  • Practice safe use of all tools and equipment required by the position.
  • Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Know and practice proper lifting techniques.
  • Report safety violations and hazards immediately.
  • Effectively communicate with all Team Members regarding proper department operations.
  • Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Attend all department, store and training meetings when scheduled.
  • Accept and process product from Receiver.
  • Answer telephones with proper etiquette when time permits.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to facilitate customer service.
  • Follow established hazardous material safety procedures.
  • Keep floors clear of any dry or liquid debris.
  • Clean all surfaces of the store, including the parking lot and sidewalks.
  • Detail bathrooms hourly and stock with supplies.
  • Empty trash containers and replace liners.
  • Keep accurate sweep logs.
  • Use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain backstock areas and coolers.
  • Dust fixtures, shelves and product.
  • Clean windows and mirrored surfaces.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Store Leadership.

  • Must be able to meet physical job requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively with others and convey enthusiasm.
  • Must be self – motivated an solution orientated.
  • Is able for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
  • Must have Store Team Leader approval.
  • Team Members with written active Corrective Counseling’s must disclose this information to the hiring leader when they are applying for a transfer or promotion.
  • Team Members on active Final Warning are ineligible to apply or be considered for transfers or promotions. 

 Working Conditions:

  • Some reaching above and below shoulder height.

  • Some exposure to dust, fumes and chemicals.

  • May walk or stand on uneven surfaces.

  • Repetitive stretching and lifting required.

  • Repetitive use of hands and fine manipulation.

  • May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.

  • Exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises.

  • Any item over 40 pounds requires a team lift.
