Hawaii Tokai International College (HTIC) in Kapolei is seeking an Executive Director to join our distinguished learning community!              


Job Statement:  

The Executive Director will direct and coordinate the activities of all non-academic departments.  As one of the senior executives, the Executive Director will confer with the Chancellor and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.  The Executive Director will also assist with the planning and development of policies, procedures and objectives of HTIC and its educational mission.              


Minimum Qualifications:

•Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or other related area plus five (5) years’ experience; or Bachelor’s degree in related area plus ten (10) years relevant experience as administrator, manager or finance executive;

•Strong managerial skills and demonstrated capacity for strategic leadership;

•Experience in higher education administration;

•In-depth understanding of facilities management;

•Proficiency with computer hardware and software to supervise IT staff;

•Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret industry journals, financial reports and legal documents;

•Ability to address inquiries and complaints from employees and third parties;

•Ability to create and edit business documentation in prescribed style and format;

•Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, board of trustees and other interest groups as necessary.

•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and orally;

•Must be detailed oriented and accurate in performing duties;

•Meticulous organization and time management skills; and

•Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications: 

•Experience in Project Management. 

•Language Proficiency in Japanese and English including advanced reading writing, listening and speaking skills.

•Knowledge of educational systems of U.S., Japan and Asia. 

•Experience working with U.S. Accreditation.
