Looking for Full-Time Customer Service & Sales Reps. Located in Mililani Technology Park (Palii Bldg).
PURPOSE STATEMENT: The purpose of this position is to present cutting-edge communications and entertainment services to new and existing customers while problem-solving their needs and concerns.



  1. Provides excellent customer service in person, over the telephone, or by correspondence for customers as a result of telephone inquires or face-to-face communications.
  • Utilizes clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various types of accounts and Customer Service Department

policies and procedures

  • Excellent telephone etiquette and types 40 wpm.
  1. Responds to customer requests for new, upgrade, downgrade, transfer, disconnect and/or repair services, as a result of telephone inquiries or face-to-face communications.
  • Utilizes clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  1. Sells complete packages, upgrades services and saves customers from downgrading or disconnecting.
  • General knowledge of sales skills, asks open and closed ended questions.
  • Thorough knowledge of cable product, programming choices and prices.
  • Ability to explain benefit of program and/or service to customer.
  • Probes and makes attempt to save, sell, upgrade on every customer contact.
  1. Answers general information inquiries for customers on prices, programming and installations.
  • Provides clear and concise information to customers by e-mail, over the telephone, or in person using a patient manner.
  • Has thorough knowledge of system’s cable prices, programming choices and installation scheduling and procedures.
  1. Responds to billing questions and corrects billing errors or discrepancies.
  • Responds to questions on the telephone, through correspondence or in person.
  • Utilizes computer to retrieve and correct billing errors.
  • May manually type up a new statement for the customer or follow-up with written verification of billing errors.
  1. Regular attendance is required.


  1. May perform additional clerical functions including: receptionist, dispatcher, scheduler, cashier, bookkeeper, accounting clerk and other clerical duties.
  • Able to speak clearly when dispatching, and performing the receptionist functions.
  • General knowledge of basic mathematics and accounting.
  • Must be able to type 40 wpm, use 10-key and perform data entry.

2. May perform customer mail, balance payment batches and enter into billing system.

  • Opens and sorts customer mails.
  • Uses computer, data entry, and 10-key skills to balance payment batches enter into billing system

3. May contact customer accounts to recover converters, for payment of past due accounts, and to list delinquent accounts for collection.

  • Uses general knowledge of non-pay accounts, performs collection duties through persuasive verbal communications.
  • May lift converters, which weight up to 8 lbs.

4. May perform billing and posting of accounts.

  • Utilizes computer and 10-key to bill and post accounts
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

HUMAN RELATIONS: Has extensive outside contact with customers and the general public. Has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The following are required:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 3-6 months of either office, clerical, or customer service experience.
  3. Must have strong sales experience.
  4. Able to work at any Spectrum location.
  5. Willing to work any shift schedule.
  6. Proficient on the computer including a working knowledge of Windows and Word.
  7. Stable employment history

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGES AND ABILITIES: Skills included: typing 40 words per minute, use of telephone system, and ten-key adding machine. Must have excellent telephone etiquette, good
persuasive, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to sell and handle all customer service inquiries through effective communication. Knowledge of general office procedures, basic mathematics and bookkeeping, familiarity and use of computers.


MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, telephone, ten-key, cash register, photocopier, scanner, shredder, typewrite, and cable equipment such as converter box and modem; may use postage machine.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for long periods of time. Typing and reading on computer and data entry on ten-key. May lift and carry converters (8 lbs.). Communicating by either e-mail, over the telephone, and/or in-person with customers. Extended use of telephone headset and ear piece.

Hours: Must be available to work various shifts including Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, and split shifts. 

Salary Rate of Pay: $17.87 per hour (training rate).
