Job Description

Locally owned and operated moving company needs an organized and experienced Administrative Assistant to work out of their Pearl City office. As the Admin Assistant for this business, you will be tasked with handling all of their daily operations—from answering telephones to preparing information packets, you will have your hands full with projects and will be the glue that keeps things running smoothly.


To be successful in this position, you should have a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, a typing speed of at least 50 WPM, and previous office experience that has prepared you for this great opportunity!


Pay: $15.00 Hourly

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Answer telephone lines and take messages
  • Answer general inquiries in person and through the phone or direct to the appropriate person
  • Assist the Operations team with purchasing materials
  • Audit documents, checking for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare folders
  • Scan billing packets
  • Maintain shipping analysis spreadsheet
  • Prepare outgoing mail 
  • Create and update forms
  • Maintain the office supply order
  • Maintain quarterly reports and spreadsheets
  • Manage the yearly holiday card mailing and party functions
  • Maintain the position training manual including instructions, samples, and forms
  • Serve as a primary or secondary back-up when other administrative staff are absent


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of office experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to acquire U.S. government security clearance
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Professional front office appearance at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College classes in accounting and/or business
  • Experience in the moving industry
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Access
