HOPE Services is a Hawai'i Island based nonprofit agency committed to making homelessness on our island more rare, brief, and nonrecurring. We accomplish this by empowering families and individuals with the support they need to become housed. Our programs include homeless prevention and diversion, mobile outreach, street medicine, emergency and transitional shelter, housing navigation and location, rental assistance, emergency financial assistance, representative payee services, medical respite, permanent supportive housing, person-centered case management services, and more. In 2023, HOPE provided support and housing-focused services to 1,517 people islandwide, helping 820 Hawai'i Island households stabilize and restore a foundation to live healthy lives. Our reach is possible because of the dedication of HOPE staff - aligned with our mission "to bring to life the gospel values of justice, love, compassion and hope, through service, empowerment and advocacy."
