Since the grand opening of its first store in Seoul, South Korea, in 1991, CU has been a leader in the retail industry in South Korea for approximately 35 years.

Under the slogan “Be Good Friends,” CU strives to be a good friend to both customers and society. CU expanded beyond the retail industry in South Korea by opening in Mongolia in 2018, Malaysia in 2021, and Kazakhstan in 2024.
