Position Summary
The Vinyl Installer participates in all aspects of vinyl wrap installation projects from start to finish. This includes vehicle preparation, reviewing design proofs, installing vinyl to professional standards, and ensuring quality control on every project. This role works closely with the Lead Vinyl Installer and installation team to execute projects efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Lead Vinyl Installer in prioritizing and tracking multiple projects
• Prep and clean vehicles before installation
• Remove dirt and debris from painted surfaces before every job
• Review project proofs and panel layouts before installation
• Verify final installation matches approved proofs
• Assist with quality control on all projects
• Provide input on supplies and equipment needed for installation
• Assist with reviewing print quality and accuracy prior to install
• Support training of new and existing team members
• Follow all 808Wraps processes and procedures
• Handle delicate vehicle components with care
• Detail vehicle exteriors when needed (clay bar, orbital buffer, compounds, etc.)
• Measure vehicle components accurately using soft measuring tape
• Prepare and apply badges before or after vinyl installation
• Perform vinyl and PPF removal when required
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2–4 years of related experience preferred (training available for highly qualified candidates)
• Must pass on-site installation test
• Must provide portfolio or examples of previous work
• Experience with vinyl and/or PPF removal and installation
• Knowledge of various vinyl types and brands (wrap vinyl, sign vinyl, printed vinyl, etc.)

Technical & Computer Skills
• Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive)
• Experience using internal job management or billing systems is a plus
Work Environment
This role involves working around moving mechanical parts, fumes, and shop equipment. Moderate noise levels are typical. Work may occasionally require exposure to outdoor weather conditions and non-weather-related heat.
