Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to oversee financial operations, budgeting, accounting, payroll, and procurement activities. This leadership role supports strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and guidance to senior management.

Part-time, Hours vary between 8am-5pm

Location

Hilo, Big Island

Pay

$34.62 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and procurement.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and year-end accounts.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor expenditures and provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.
  • Oversee payroll-related financial processes and reporting.
  • Manage invoicing and financial administration for contracts and international agreements.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and support finance staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and purchasing.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. *Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer background check.
