Job Description

This position is expected to last approximately 1–3 months and is a great opportunity for someone with medical front office experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This position plays an important role in keeping the front office running smoothly and creating a positive experience for patients from check-in through check-out. As a key point of contact for non-clinical patient services, you’ll work closely with patients, therapists, and team members to help maintain an efficient flow throughout the clinic.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $24 an hour

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments electronically.
• Check patients in and out and help maintain an efficient patient flow.
• Enter and update patient information accurately.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Maintain patient charts and electronic medical records.
• Prepare and process charge tickets.
• Collect, post, and process patient payments.
• Perform general administrative duties including faxing, filing, and document management.
• Assist with additional front-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of medical front office/reception experience.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced medical office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with medical scheduling or electronic medical record software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable and flexible with scheduling.
• Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
