Newport Pacific Cabinets Inc., is seeking an experienced project coordinator. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating and managing various aspects of projects while collaborating with third party General Contractors and suppliers. Potential candidates must be adept in using CAD software and should have previous experience with reading, researching, preparing and interpreting blueprints and other technical drawings. Ideal candidates must be technically proficient, detailed oriented, have strong time management skills, strong work ethics, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Basic Job Description & Daily Duties:
· Creating kitchen cabinets and countertop shop drawings.
· Revising, editing and adjusting shop drawings as needed.
· Finalizing shop drawings and drafts within the required project time frame.
· Review and adjust all submittals, shop drawings, and change orders accordingly.
· Assist fellow project managers and AutoCAD drafters in reviewing and completing project revisions from general contractors.
· Analyze construction schedules and track project timelines.
· Creating project schedules, adhering to project schedules, as well as coordinating and monitoring project deadlines with team members.
· Collaborating with project managers and team members to ensure drawings, edits and schedules are up to date and accurate.
· Adhere to project schedules and communicate any delays or issues to the appropriate person.
· Manage project files, project contracts, and change orders accordingly.
· Discuss quotes for materials and communicate directly with suppliers and factories to coordinate deadlines and delivery dates.
· Help solve problems related to assigned projects and identify cost-saving solutions without compromising quality.
· Support procurement of materials and monitor inventory/deliveries.
· Support audits and project closeout efforts.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture or a combination of education and relevant experience.
· Relevant work experience will suffice for Bachelor’s degree requirement.
· Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards.
· Advanced mathematical skills.
· Demonstrate construction experience on projects
· Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
· Must be able to work in a team environment
· Must be computer literate.
· Must have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revo and other related construction programs
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to solve problems and provide possible solutions in a timely manner.
