Job Description

Are you talented at preparing high quality meals in a fast paced environment? Gyotaku Line Cooks have a light prep routine due to our central kitchen which prepares sauces, entree portions and other prep fresh every day allowing them to focus on prepare great meals in team environment.

 

Daily Work Routine:

  • Participate in and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented work environment.
  • Be focused on exceeding guest expections of a great meal experience.
  • Production of prep recipes and menu items for guests according to production forms and recipe cards.
  • Maintaining an organized clean and sanitary work station.
  • Coordination of duties and products with the other kitchen stations.
  • Follow company, Serve Safe & State Dept of Health best practices for food safety & hygiene.

Line Cook Pay Grades (Plus approx $1 to $3 per hour in tips, depending on sales and shifts worked, higher tips on weekend shifts)

  • Cook III ~ Trainee through ability to work 1 station expertly $11 - $13
  • Cook II ~ Ability to work 2-3 stations expertly  $13-16
  • Cook I ~ Ability to work 4 stations expertly $16 - $18

Typical shifts at 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:30PM ~10:30PM
