IMMEDIATE HIRE FOR WEEKEND PART-TIME, ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAY, HIRING BONUS UP TO $1000. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, TRAINING AVAILABLE.

Gyotaku Japanese Restaurants is now hiring for Line Cooks and Sushi Makers.  We offer competitive pay and paid training with opportunity for advancement.  Gyotaku Line Cooks and Sushi Makers have a light prep routine due to our central kitchen which prepare sauces, entree portions and other prep, fresh every day allowing them to focus on preparing great meals in a team environment. Daily Work Routine:
  • Participate in and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented work environment.
  • Be focused on exceeding guest expectations of a great meal experience.
  • Production of prep recipes and menu items for guests according to production forms and recipe cards.
  • Maintaining an organized clean and sanitary work station.
  • Coordination of duties and products with the other kitchen stations.
  • Follow company, Serve Safe & State Dept of Health best practices for food safety & hygiene.
Sushi Maker Pay Grades (Plus approx $1 to $3 per hour in tips, depending on sales and shifts worked, higher tips on weekend shifts)
  • Sushi III - Trainee through ability to work maki rollling station expertly $14 - $17/hr.
  • Sushi II - Ability to work maki and nigiri stations expertly $17 - $19/hr.
  • Sushi I - Ability to work maki, nigiri, fish cutting stations expertly $19 - $24/hr.
Typical shifts at 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:30PM - 10:30PM
Current TB clearance and proof of HepA vaccination needed upon hire.
