Our client is seeking an accounting professional to join their team as an Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions.

Qualified candidates will have 5 years of experience in the accounting field and have a deep understanding of operational concepts.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Ewa Beach, Oahu

Pay

$50,000 to $70,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all functions including, but not limited to operation records, revenue and expense tracking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, inventories, etc.
  • Manage and reconcile monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, bank accounts, asset accounts and wage accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements and inventory audits.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare yearly report of financial operations.
  • Inspect and audit daily cash reports.
  • Maintain monthly budget reports.
  • Collect, review, and reconcile all credit card receipts.
  • Assists with budget development and maintenance.
  • Advise other department managers about financial aspects of their responsibilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate accounting trends and innovation which may impact the practices of the accounting programs.
  • Evaluate and implement electronic data processing systems and software applications for the accounting function.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including monthly reporting and general ledger management.
  • Previous experience working with QuickBooks software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
