Looking for a full-time office job in Hilo? We're currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide general office support to a local business. In this role you will be responsible for receiving incoming phone calls, responding to emails, overseeing office schedules, and more! If you have strong admin skills with at least two years of experience or a college degree as well as proven knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, apply today!


Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Hilo, Big Island


$14 to $16 an hour


  • Answer incoming phone calls, forward callers, and take messages.
  • Check emails daily, forward/print, move emails to appropriate project folder.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail.
  • Oversee office supply inventory and purchase and restock as needed.
  • Assist with travel, conference, meeting, etc. arrangements.
  • Prepare weekly meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports.
  • Produce letters, correspondence, proposals, reports, and other business forms.
  • File correspondence and other records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or 2 years related experience.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional phone etiquette with experience operating multi-line phones.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
