Call Center Representatives (100314)

A local utility company is seeking Call Center Representatives to provide customer service for the next four to six months. This is primarily a work-from-home position but you may be requested to occasionally work in office, therefore, applicants must be located on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Candidates must have strong customer service and communication skills. Strong computer skills are also a must as you will need to enter data into the company system while speaking with customers on the phone.


Full-time, Scheduled hours TBD, must be available to work weekends

$17 to $19 an hour, depending on experience


  • Answer a multi-line phone system.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Assist customers with completing applications over the phone.
  • Enter information into a computerized system.


  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to work remotely or on-site as needed.
  • Must have access to high-speed internet and a desk/chair. A company laptop, phone, and other office supplies will be provided.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to type 55 WPM.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful communication situations with professionalism and calmness.
  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Must be able to commit to the entire length of the assignment (4 to 6 months).
