Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required to maximize productivity and functionality in our operations. The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with a focus on safety.

Major Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair problems with commercial and fleet vehicles.
• Accurately complete corresponding maintenance logs in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with Transportation Manager on proper maintenance and prevention of malfunctions and breakdowns in a timely manner. 
• Perform modifications to vehicles as required. 
• Able to perform work independently or as a team member.
• Communicates regularly with and immediately reports all safety issues, incidents, and maintenance needs to the Property Manager.

Position is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Position is regularly required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, talk, and hear.
• Position is subject to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
• Position is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on regular basis, up to 50 pounds on occasion.
