Status: Exempt                                                                         Reports To: Director of Clinical Operations

HOPE Services Hawaii is seeking an Program Coordinator to oversee Housing Navigators and Safety Monitors based at Friendly Place at West Hawaii to ensure participants get documents ready, get connected to mainstream programs; pathway to shelter and housing options; secure employment and address any other resources needed. Program Coordinator serves as team representative and collaborates with Director of Clinical Operations for efficiency of program. The Coordinator will field inreach requests from community stakeholders, including government, business, and private citizens.  The Coordinator works in partnership with other programs internal to HOPE Services including Housing Navigator programs, housing, medical services, and employment.  Coordinator will also oversee operations at the drop in center and supervise Safety Monitors and security contractors. 
 

The Program Coordinator must be able to exercise the following skills:

  • Monitors programs progress in meeting goals and objectives.
  • Ensures program compliance as required by program specific initiatives
  • Engaging with community partners and volunteers to create a robust drop in center
  • Maintains client rosters and conducts quality assurance of client records and service utilization.
  • Serves as program contact with funders and generates program reports. 
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility 
  • Provide oversight of security where shifts are filled and gates are monitored and engage with unhoused persons entering and exiting campus with trauma informed care.
  • Ensure and maintain documentation records meet standards and are done in a timely manner as required by HOPE Services and funding source in accordance with all federal, state and local laws
  • Seeking partners to increase meal service
  • Conducts and documents individual supervision with Housing Navigators and Safety Monitors, twice per month.
  • Works in collaboration with HOPE Services and other partnering providers’ housing department staff ensuring that homeless individuals who are appropriate have initiated the application and qualifying process for applications for entrance into appropriate housing.                �​�                    ​                    �​�                    ​       

The Program Coordinator must be able to fulfill duties including:

  • Assists with developing and updating client forms and program policies.
  • Maintains overall organizational integrity within the site and compliance with all federal and other regulations.
  • Provides direct service to participants through crisis intervention, counseling, case management, client grievance/dispute resolution, outreach, and other service activities as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and three years of experience serving vulnerable and challenged individuals
  • An Associate’s Degree or higher, preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills; able to navigate google email, Microsoft applications and databases
  • A strong ability and inclination to work independently, as well as working as a team
  • Current safety check, registration and insurance with clean traffic abstract
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend shifts

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, and/or push items up to 50 lbs. pounds at a time and for short distances.  Such motions may include reasonable bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
  • Standing and walking.
  • Fast-paced environment

Salary range: $47,840.00/yr-$62,840.00/yr
