Job Description

A local company is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join their team and perform a variety of basic tasks in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and building/grounds maintenance.

This position may require weekend and evening work due to operational needs.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (possible weekends)

Location

Hilo, Big Island

Pay

$18 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

• Repair office and factory cabinets, desks, tables, etc.
• Use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, shovel, pick, etc.
• Use a variety of power tools such as leaf blower, lawn mower, power washer, etc.
• Trim hedges, mow lawn, and fertilize plants.
• Operate forklift.
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, mudding, AC filter changes, light replacements, floor repairs, etc.
• Work safely and professionally with a positive attitude.
• Able to follow all protocols.
• Work cohesively within a team and independently as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Familiarity using various landscaping equipment and tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have a TB clearance.
• Must be able to comply with a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
