A local family-owned meatpacking company in Hilo is looking for a Meat Packer to cook and pack meat products.

The ideal candidate will have previous meat processing, cooking, and/or hunting experience.

Hours

Full-time, Schedule varies between 5:00am-6:00pm based on production

Location

Hilo, Big Island

Pay

$17 an hour

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and shred kalua pig
• Wrap Laulaus
• Make sausages for packing
• Pack meat products in bags and boxes for wholesale and retail
• Daily clean-up of machines and production area
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Previous meat-cutting experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs
• Must be able to work on a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Able to work in a cold environment since some of the job will be in a walk-in freezer
