Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of distribution activities. Must be able to lead a team ofwarehouse workers and drivers. Will oversee distribution operations including receiving, put away, picking, and shipping of goods, and maintaining inventory and associated records. Must make sure the equipment is regularly serviced and help train new employees. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, legal issues, government regulations, and safety procedures is required, as is knowledge of geography, mathematics, and computer applications.

Supervisory Responsibility This position serves as a direct supervisor to Drivers and Warehousemen.
Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, exempt (salary) position, and schedule hours of work and days will be based to support our operational needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs on occasion.
