A local employment company is seeking a Placement Manager to join their team on the Big Island. The Placement Manager will be responsible for matching job seekers with current job openings. You will successfully identify active and passive job seekers using tools, internet research, and other creative methods, while building strong relationships and trust with your clients.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Location

  • Hilo, Big Island
  • Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$55,000 to $60,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Source, recruit, and screen qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
  • Review resumes and conduct phone and virtual interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, hiring managers, and candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage multiple job requisitions while meeting recruiting goals and deadlines.
  • Write and post engaging job advertisements on various online recruiting platforms.
  • Conduct reference checks, employment verification, and background screening coordination.
  • Present qualified candidates to clients with detailed candidate summaries and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Provide a positive candidate experience by communicating promptly and professionally throughout the hiring process.
  • Negotiate employment offers and assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork.
  • Stay current on labor market trends, hiring best practices, and employment laws.
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and community outreach activities to attract top talent.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to achieve individual and company hiring goals.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • 3-5 years of previous customer service and office experience required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle. 
  • Strong customer service skills and connection to our local community.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comply with a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal Background check.
