Preschool Teacher

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for the coordination, planning and implementation of individual and group developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate growth in language, social, emotional and motor skills in young children ages 2-5.

Education Requirements:

a. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and at least one (1) year of experience working directly with young children ages birth through five; or

b. Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and at least three (3) years of experience working directly with young children ages birth through five; or

• c. Proof of current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential for preschool settings and at least one (1) year of experience working directly with young children ages birth through five.
  
  Other Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able eligible to meet the requirements of the Teacher Level in the Licensing Matrix for Group Child Care Centers.
  • Must have a current TB clearance.
  • Must be presently or willing to register by fingerprinting with the Department of Human Services.
    Must be certified in infant/child first aid including rescue breathing and first aid for choking after        hire.
  • Must have physician's clearance to perform duties.
  • Must have a clean criminal background/record check and must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
