Kōkua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services is seeking an Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the entire finance function, a passion for detail, as well as excellent computer and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties of the Accountant

· Monitors Federal, State and Local grant expenditures in the most efficient manner.

· Produce timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

· Analyzed and reconcile monthly transactions to ensure that the funds are expended properly and in compliance with contract requirements and budgets.

Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. At least two years’ working experience as an accountant.

· Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software

  • Jury Duty: Time off for Jury duty: KKV will pay employees the difference between normal rate of pay and sum provided by the court for a maximum of 1 month.
