Job Description

RendezView is a Honolulu, HI-based software startup developing collaboration technology and tools for the modern workforce. Backed by UH Ventures and Blue Startups, RendezView’s real-time collaborative workspaces allow teams to meet and work together as if they're in the same room, without the hassle of managing multiple apps or switching between tabs.


We are looking for a junior UI/UX designer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate learner, eager to develop an delivering an engaging and powerful user experience. As a member of our small team, you will be working closely with our co-founders, senior engineers, and the marketing team to launch new features, iterate on existing features, and be integral in the development of our flagship product. Our team is very much in ‘startup’ mode, requiring quick and flawless execution and an agile mindset.



  • Previous internship or work experience at a startup, tech company, design firm, in-house creative team, or design studio environment (is a plus)
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your desire to create effective user-centered design solutions.
  • Experience working with industry standard design software (i.e Sketch, Figma, Adobe CS, Invision, Canva, or other UX related tools).
  • Interest in designing web & native apps.
  • Knowledge of latest UX trends, techniques, and technology.
  • Keen and exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate your design methodology clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.



  • Translate concepts into visual design with high attention to detail that demonstrates functionality
  • Take visual design from concept to execution, speccing and preparing engineer ready assets
  • Review engineering builds and provide feedback on pixel perfect implementation
  • Work closely with Product Managers and others to define product requirements and specifications for proposed web and mobile initiatives.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, and user flows that promote usability and accommodating technical needs in addition to potential source code constraints.
  • Relentlessly simplify and distill complex processes into intuitive and elegant UIs.
  • Translate functional objectives into detailed specifications.
  • Develop personas to facilitate the feature design process.
