Hohonu is a motivated startup combining expertise in oceanography, engineering, and data science to build cost-effective solutions for ocean and watershed observing that can help drive policy and action to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

We are a small startup that values credibility, rigor, teamwork, and innovation. You’ll have all the perks of working for a small start-up (dedicated team, autonomy, influence, etc.).

We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude, who can wear multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment. The environmental engineer will report directly to the CEO, helping with mission-critical and time-sensitive tasks. Among other things, the engineer will be expected to assist the CEO with understanding and transcribing technical documentation to assist with customer sales, carrying out technical projects, as well as performing technical analyses.
