Job Description

Media and Story-telling Intern


Essential Functions:

  • Learn about MCAPP’s work to deliver high-quality programs to prevent sexual violence and promote ‘ohana wellbeing in Molokai, through education, leadership development, and community organizing, both online and in person

  • Help to develop strategic communication for the Molokai community and current/potential MCAPP supporters, particularly focused on people ages 11-26 (e.g., social media, print media, blogs, newspaper, video, etc.)

  • Support efficient service delivery by building systems and technical capacity; troubleshoot glitches and inefficiencies

  • Track service delivery metrics and develop timely numerical, narrative, and visual reports


Necessary Qualifications:

  • Experience in art, media, and storytelling

  • Commitment to sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships, and the Molokai community

  • Experience with digital technology and social media platforms

  • High school diploma

  • Enrolled in college full-time

  • Ties to Molokai


Reports to: The Media and Storytelling Intern reports to the Assistant Manager and collaborates closely with every member of the small MCAPP team.
