GRAPHIC DESIGN ASSISTANT FOR INDIGENOUS INNOVATION (Part-time)

 

Graphic Design Assistant 

Assist with the creation of digital and print tools for an upcoming project to develop a framework to guide, inspire, and center teams in indigenous ways of knowing and Native Hawaiian values. Deep interest and grounding in Native Hawaiian culture, practices, language, values, and ways of knowing.

 

Co-create on all stages of the design process:

— creative brainstorming, ideation, and creative concepting

— carry out image research

— thoughtful and strategic layout and use of page

— image creation, rendering/illustration, photo manipulation 

— strong typography, hand lettering, and drawing

— convey feelling, brand personality, and expressiveness through design

— pre-press and preparation of files for the printer

 

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite > Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. Experience or interest in working with wordpress websites, and social media platforms,Skills beyond this a plus, including an interest in video. 

 

Position is: Part time15-20 hours/week. Primarily remote-work based. You need your own computer, a reliable internet connection, and to be reachable via phone.
