Job Description

The Accounting AR Supervisor is responsible for obtaining the generated revenue through processing all invoices, ensuring timely payment of invoices, updating financial records, resolving missed payments. They will also supervise the AR staff, providing guidance and assistance to ensure they complete their tasks timely and effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Oversee all transactional functions within accounts receivable team. 

•Work with cross departmental team to resolve issues and errors.

•Review aging reports on a weekly basis, provide ongoing performance coaching and training.

•Manage multiple assigned accounts which may involve high volume of sub-accounts.

•Analyze account trends to foresee any potential issues.

•Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on customer’s financial situations.

•Constantly following up with customers to ensure a quick and easy repayment process.

•Build relationships with customers and understand their business needs.

•Resolve unpaid balances, advise customer of necessary action steps and useful strategies for           repayment.

•Review the terms of sales, service and/or credit contracts with customers.

•Assist in reconciling accounts.

•Other duties and/or special projects as requested.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

MUST HAVE: A combination of 3-5 years' experience in an accounting supervisory role in a fast-paced environment and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field

•Experience collecting in a fast-paced environment, food industry preferred but not required.

•Great energy and “can-do” attitude.

•Creative problem solver with great customer service skills.

•Possess a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.

•Excellent PC experience, particularly with Microsoft Office Applications

•Excellent written and oral communication skills
