Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for daily operations and ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. The Accountant assists the Chief Administrative Officer in the areas of various financial analysis and projects, board reporting, and planning.   

Essential functions:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Train staff on internal control procedures, accounting processes and procedures.
  • Work with accounting firm to support annual audit and prepare annual federal and state tax-exemption filings, including the 990 filings.
  • Oversee grants to ensure that expenses are consistently aligned with grant budgets. Maintain financial grant reporting and budgeting.  Document, assess and advise on internal controls for grant compliance.  Prepare monthly, quarterly billing invoices for grants and foundations. 
  • Manage All Representative Payee accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited 4-year institution. Master’s in Business Administration or Certified Management Accountant credential preferred.
  • Five (5) or more of years of related experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks Online (preferred).
