Looking for an entry-level accounting position? We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant in Honolulu. This role will be responsible for processing, maintaining, and reconciling a variety of accounting functions. Ideal candidates have a sharp eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, a great work initiative and a high willingness to learn.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Review, process, and record daily cash receipts and prepare and maintain check registers
  • Reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts
  • Process bills and check requests and assess budget availability
  • Processing disbursements for claims, refunds, commissions, and operating expenditures
  • Run bank activity report and verify deposits
  • Follow up on any outstanding payments
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Maintain an accurate documenting system 


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform well in a fast-paced environment
