About the Role 

Pacific Impact Zone (PIZ) is seeking an Innovation Coordinator to provide dedicated support for the OnRamp Hub: Hawai‘i. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and wants to contribute to Hawai‘i’s growing defense innovation ecosystem. 
 
The Innovation Coordinator will serve as a central support role across all Hub programming and services, helping ensure smooth operations and consistent delivery. With a focus on administrative execution and program logistics, this role is also a launchpad for growth within PIZ for candidates who demonstrate initiative and alignment with our mission. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support across Hub programming, including scheduling, logistics coordination, and meeting preparation. 
  • Assist in event and workshop execution, supporting the Event Manager and Program Manager with registration, materials, and day-of operations. 
  • Help maintain program records, data entry, and reporting to meet DIU/ARI requirements. 
  • Support founder intake and coaching logistics by coordinating schedules, gathering materials, and tracking engagement. 
  • Liaise with DIU’s marketing team and assist with communications support when needed (e.g., event announcements, newsletters, LinkedIn posts). 
  • Serve as a consistent on-site presence at the Hub, ensuring operational readiness and professional representation. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail. 
  • Must be based in Hawai‘i

Preferred: 

  • 1–3 years of experience in program coordination, administrative support, or event support roles. 
  • Familiarity with innovation ecosystems, startups, or government programs. 
  • Experience working with marketing/communications teams.
