Job Description


The After Care Aide is responsible for helping to prepare an environment that is conducive to learning.  The primary responsibility of the After Care Aide is to assist the After Care Director in supervision and behavior management of the children while they are in the care of the after care program.  This assignment also includes scheduled playground duty and serving snacks to children. 



  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Specific experience with children of target age preferred.
  3. Complete background check as required by the State of Hawaii.
  4. Complete a physical exam.
  5. Must be eligible to work Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.



The After Care Aide shall:

  • Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action towards others by demonstrating the character qualities of courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, loyalty, punctuality, and discretion.
  • Have the spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to “train up a child in the way he should go.” (Proverbs 22:6)
  • Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism.
  • Maintain a personal God-honoring appearance that is clean, modest, and in agreement with school policy.
  • Make an effort to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the WJNS community.
  • Support and uphold the primary mission of the school, which is to educate children academically and spiritually.
