Position Summary

Support the General Manager in leading all staff members in exceeding the expectations of our employees, guests and investors in a supportive work environment with proven processes focused on maintaining our reputation as Hawaii’s Favorite Japanese Restaurant.

Participate and contribute at Weekly Meetings that focus on achieving goals, solving problems and accountability.

Key Results Areas

  • Social Media Rating of >4.25 - YELP, Google and other social media services.
  • Sales – measured by guest/transaction counts and check averages
  • Cost Of Good Sold – the percentage of food, beverage, supplies costs as a percentage of sales
  • Labor Cost – scheduling & staffing, as a percentage of sales-checks
  • Employee Turnover – terminated employees as percentage of total staff
  • Profitability – net profit compared to prior year, month and budget.

  • A general understanding of a restaurant facility [POS, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrcity, Water Heater, etc]


This position requires a high school diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate).

A 4 year college degree or 4 years of restaurant experience plus 4 years of restaurant management.

Language skills


Japanese helpful but not at all necessary.
