We are seeking an Assistant Preschool Director to join Central Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten. The position is Full Time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday, with schedule flexibility to work other hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises registration and enrollment processes for preschool, before school care, after school care, and summer school programs
  • Participates in all school functions including chapel, special events, and auto line
  • Develops a work calendar and schedule for preschool office staff and supervises office staff
  • Provides staff with ongoing professional development opportunities and supervises assigned staff
  • Analyzes, interprets, and complies with government rules, regulations, and church policies

The Successful Applicant MUST have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • 30 hours coursework in Infant/Toddler Education
  • Experience with NAEYC accreditation
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of classroom teaching experience with 2-5 year olds
  • Current Hawaii State Department of Human Services CANOES Registry Certificate
  • Computer proficiency and skill in using the MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Successful pass on all required background screening
