Banquet Server 

Company Overview 

The Banquet Server upholds Ocean Investments, LLC’s company Core Values, Vision and Mission.  They maintain all job responsibilities while also maintaining the responsibility of the banquet procedures. This position is the primary provider of service to the guest during their experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following other duties may be assigned.

  • Able to work in a diverse environment with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Processing food and beverage orders in to the POS terminal and accurately translating them to the kitchen staff.
  • Properly preparing each table for the appropriate silverware, glassware, and plates according to the orders from the guests in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring a thorough maintenance of each table for the guests, such as crumbing, clearing any finished glassware, silverware, and plates.
  • Delivering drinks from the service areas and food from the kitchen in an elegant and efficient manner.
  • Create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for the guests accordingly with the standards of the house and guest needs. 
  • Must have a complete understanding for each team member’s role in the house in order to uphold standards that are set in place.
  • Attends and participates at mandatory staff meetings and classes.
  • Involved in on-premise and off-property promotions for the restaurant.
  • May be filmed or photographed by the restaurant for marketing, recruiting, educational or other purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 1 -2 years of related experience preferably with a full-size restaurant and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiar with POS system
  • Must possess knowledge of sequence of service
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Japanese fluently, including use of keigo.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Liquor License (Bartender Card required)
  • TB Clearance
  • Must meet background check requirements applicable to the central job duties of the position
